Tevez available to Manchester City stay - ESPN.co.uk

Carlos Tevez says he's pleased to see out the rest of his Manchester City agreement and may even consider extending his stay at Eastlands. Tevez's present offer expires next year and the striker has been strongly related to the Eastlands leave door since his refusal to warm-up in a League game last year. Possible actions to Corinthians and Milan collapsed immediately after that incident, but Tevez won his place back and helped fire City to title glory in 2011-12, before keeping his position as an built-in number this term, scoring 17 targets in 41 games. Just over this past year, it seemed unthinkable that Tevez would honor his contract, however the Argentina striker asserts he is more settled now. "I have a year left and I will respect that. I'll consider whether to sign a brand new one," Tevez is quoted as saying in the Sun. "It is not the same as last year when I desired to leave as soon as possible. I'm going through a different time. The team is treating me effectively and that is therefore important for me." England internationals Gareth Barry and Joleon Lescott may also be entering the final years of these individual City agreements, with this summer the latter expected to leave the team.
