Police said these were learning CCTV footage to identify troublemakers Four police officers were wounded as difficulty broke out in Newcastle following Sunderland's 3-0 win over Newcastle United at St James' Park. Bottles were thrown and containers set burning as mounted officers tried to go crowds back again to allow visiting supporters to be escorted to train and Metro companies. Northumbria Police mentioned 29 arrests were made during the game itself. A spokesman said officers were learning CCTV footage of the city center to identify the troublemakers. There was disruption to Metro companies while order was restored by police. A British Transport Police spokesman said three of its officers were hurt while Northumbria Police said one of its officers was also injured. None of the officials are believed to be seriously hurt. Police said Sunderland fans traveling on official instructors had safely delivered to Wearside. Fans was informed ahead of the game that any incidents would be firmly dealt with. Sunderland's win was their first on Tyneside in nearly 13 years.
