Arsenal are without striker Olivier Giroud, who starts a three-match ban, so either Theo Walcott or Lukas Podolski will likely be handed a central attacking role.
Newly-crowned Premier League champions Manchester United travel to Emirates Stadium with manager Sir Alex Ferguson likely to rotate his squad after sealing the title against Aston Villa on Monday night.
Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic could be restored in central defence, while Phil Jones may be moved to midfield, possibly alongside Tom Cleverley.
The likes of Danny Welbeck and Javier Hernandez could also be handed starts, and it remains to be seen whether Robin van Persie will play against his former club.
Much of the pre-match talk has been about Van Persie's return to north London, and Wenger insisted his players will respect the Dutchman.
"We respect Robin van Persie like every other player who has left us and came back to the Emirates," the Frenchman said.
"I want the player to be respected like everybody else. I always said that for every single player who left, even some of them in much more controversy than Robin van Persie."
