Come and get me: Arsenal and Manchester City target Stevan Jovetic welcomes ... - Mirror.co.uk

'Premier League is at the top of the football world - and perhaps the best. We will see what happens' says Montenegro forward

Montenegro striker Stevan Jovetic has claimed he would welcome a move to the Premier League, which he branded "the strongest league in the world."

The Fiorentina forward has been linked with a move away from Italy - with Arsenal reported to be ready to smash their transfer record to land him in the summer.

Big spending Manchester City have also expressed an interest in the talented 23-year-old who has previously rated his chances of leaving at only 50%.

"I'm very comfortable in Italy but the Premier League is at the top of the football world - and perhaps the best. We will see what happens in the future."

Jovetic will get a taste of the English game when Montenegro face England in a crucial World Cup qualifier on Tuesday, with captain Mirko Vucinic claiming his teammate will outshine Wayne Rooney.

"There is no pressure on me," he said. "On the contrary, I love these big games and they motivate me all the more to do well. I don't believe it will affect my game in a bad way at all."
